In the first season, his friends think he's gay. To prove that he's not gay, his friends tell him to try to get Olivia Harper, a redheaded nurse. He manages to make her fall for him and starts sleeping with her. Sometime later, he notices open sores below his hip. He asks Alex to see what it was. After Alex looks at it, he tells O'Malley that he's got Syphilis. Earlier, Olivia slept with Alex from who she got it.

After Olivia confesses this to George, he gets angry and jumps on Alex and gives him a black eye.

George Vs. Alex = Alex - Blackeye
                               George - Syphilis!

Introduction

Grey's Anatomy is an American television medical drama that premiered on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), as a mid-season replacement on March 27, 2005. The series covers the stories of the interns and residents at the hospital as they try to balance their personal lives with the demands of their medical training. The main character is Meredith Grey, who is married to a neurosurgeon at the hospital .The show follows her life as a third year resident at the hospital in the surgical department run by Dr Richard Webber. It covers not only her relationship with her husband, but also with her best friend Cristina Yang and her interactions with the other doctors and staff.
